1. How does the donation of furniture and the equipment of reception areas contribute concretely to the audience's experience and the success of the Festival?
Theatre begins long before the curtain rises. It begins in the way we are welcomed, in the few moments of rest, waiting, or conversation that the audience shares before or after a performance. The furniture donated by Fermob invites us to settle down, breathe, look at others, and think. These spaces then become extensions of the theatre: places where words circulate, where emotions find time to calm or amplify. It is a concrete form of hospitality, essential to the Festival experience.

2. The Avignon Festival highly values artistic creation: how does Fermob furniture also contribute to this creative dynamic?
With its joyful and free aesthetic, Fermob recalls what the Festival seeks to champion: open, luminous creation, rooted in reality while still conveying a sense of dream. These colorful seats, these simple shapes, are objects that inspire. Sometimes, an artist sits on them to write. Sometimes, spectators reenact the piece they have just seen, through their gestures or words. The furniture then becomes an accomplice to creation, a discreet but powerful medium for the collective imagination.

3. What did you find relevant or unique about choosing our brand as a Festival Patron?

Fermob understands the space in which it operates. It creates for public spaces, for the theater that isn't performed solely within the walls, but in the city, at the heart of encounters. Choosing Fermob means choosing a meaningful patronage, one that embraces the Festival's philosophy: art in dialogue with the world, serving everyone.

4. What is your long-term vision for welcoming and ensuring the comfort of audiences at the Festival? Do you see other avenues for patrons like us to sign up?
I hope for a Festival where every spectator, whether they come for the first time or the twentieth, feels welcomed at home. Where waiting times become times of pleasure, exchange, and beauty. This dream involves comfort, of course, but also accessibility, sustainability, and attention to simple gestures. This notion of accessibility for as many people as possible is at the heart of our work, particularly with audiences most removed from culture and those with disabilities. We hope that companies that share our values of inclusion, solidarity, and transmission will support this ambition alongside us in a sustainable manner, for a Festival open and accessible to all.
