EUROPEAN FURNITURE WARRANTY

 

When designing our products, we pay the utmost attention to three key priorities:

 

• - ensuring they retain their intended function for as long as possible,
• - anticipating how they will age over time,
• - adapting their design to the way our customers will use them.
  
  

As a manufacturer, it is our responsibility to develop and guarantee products that meet the various ways in which our customers may use them.

 

Always attentive to our customers' expectations, Fermob continuously improves its warranty policy. We have carried out extensive work based on data from both our testing laboratory and the analysis of customer feedback.

 

The care we devote to the quality of our materials and the finishes of our products now enables us to go even further by offering two levels of warranty: a 5-year functional warranty covering all our furniture, and a 2-year ageing warranty, provided that the product is used in accordance with the brand's recommended conditions of use.

Each product is assigned a recommended use by Fermob. This recommendation will help you better meet your customers' expectations and ensure the appropriate level of warranty coverage:

 

Domestic: Product intended for private use in areas not accessible to the public, such as gardens, conservatories, terraces, balconies, etc.
Commercial: Product intended for professional use in supervised areas accessible to the public, such as restaurants, outdoor swimming pools, beaches and leisure facilities.
Intensive Commercial: Mobile product, not fixed to the ground, intended for professional use in public areas with unrestricted access, such as motorway service areas, public parks and public squares that remain accessible at all times.
 
 

5 YEAR FUNCTIONAL WARRANTY
Fermob guarantees for 5 years that its products can be used for their intended purpose. This warranty covers all issues relating to the product's functionality, such as welds, fastenings, rivets and folding mechanisms.

If a product is used for a purpose not recommended by the brand, its functional warranty will be reduced to 2 years.

 

 

2 YEAR AGEING WARRANTY
The ageing of a product depends primarily on the care taken by its owner. We encourage you to review the warranty exclusions carefully so that users are aware of the maintenance requirements for the products they purchase.
The ageing warranty covers premature and abnormal deterioration in the appearance of the materials used.

The 2 year Fermob ageing warranty applies exclusively within continental Europe, excluding Russia. In all other countries, it is valid for 2 years on aluminium furniture and limited to 1 year on steel furniture.

 

 

THE FOLLOWING ARE EXCLUDED FROM THE FUNCTIONAL AND AGEING WARRANTIES:

• - Furniture that has been altered, transformed or modified.
• - Furniture that has been used for a purpose not recommended by Fermob.
• - Damage resulting from insufficient care or failure to follow the instructions and recommendations provided to the customer regarding delivery, assembly, use, maintenance and storage of the furniture.
• - Marks or stains not reported upon unpacking (including stains resulting from the combination of moisture retention and heat).
• - Normal wear and natural fading of the materials used.
• - Corrosion resulting from scratches or abrasions caused by use and which cannot be removed through normal cleaning and maintenance.
• - Minor corrosion underneath table tops, seats or on legs. These are a natural consequence of the material used (iron) and can be treated using the maintenance products made available by Fermob.
• - Corrosion of stainless steel components resulting from use in a chlorinated and enclosed environment.
• - Corrosion of steel furniture (including stainless steel) resulting from use in coastal environments.
• - Changes in the appearance of wood due to natural ageing. As wood is a living material, its surface naturally evolves over time.
• - This warranty is limited to reimbursement (subject to a deduction for use) or replacement of the product and is valid only upon presentation of proof of purchase (sales receipt or purchase invoice).

 

 

EUROPEAN LIGHTING WARRANTY

 

 

Like our furniture, our lighting products are designed for outdoor use using carefully selected materials and components. They are covered by the applicable European statutory warranties and comply with European standards and certifications (e.g. NF EN 62262).

THE FOLLOWING ARE EXPRESSLY EXCLUDED FROM THIS WARRANTY:

• - Lighting products that have been altered, transformed or modified.
• - Damage resulting from insufficient care or failure to follow the precautions (for example, do not open the lamp) and the instructions for use, maintenance and storage provided to the customer.
• - Marks or stains not reported upon unpacking.
• - Normal wear and natural fading of the materials used.
• - Corrosion resulting from scratches or abrasions caused by use and which cannot be removed through normal cleaning and maintenance.

This warranty is limited to reimbursement (subject to a deduction for use) or replacement of the product and is valid only upon presentation of proof of purchase (sales receipt or purchase invoice).

For intensive use of the product, please contact our sales department, who will provide you with all the advice required for this type of use.

For all countries outside the European Union, the statutory warranty applicable in the relevant country shall apply.

 

 

EUROPEAN ACCESSORIES WARRANTY

Like our furniture, Fermob accessories (cushions, seat pads, etc.) are designed to last, using carefully selected materials. They are covered by the applicable European statutory warranty conditions.

• - Acrylic fabrics and PVC are guaranteed against UV damage, abrasion, mould and tearing.
• - Reticulated foam fillings are guaranteed against mould.
• - Metal accessories benefit from the same warranty conditions and exclusions as Fermob furniture.
• - Any damage resulting from failure to comply with the storage and maintenance instructions is excluded from the warranty.

This warranty is limited to reimbursement (subject to a deduction for use) or replacement of the product and is valid only upon presentation of proof of purchase (sales receipt or purchase invoice).

To make a warranty claim, return your furniture together with your proof of purchase to your retailer. They will either carry out the necessary repair directly or forward your claim to Fermob's After-Sales Service.
