It all began with the creation and marketing of the first Balad  lamp on the market in 2015. Thus, Fermob became a pioneer of a new concept.

At Fermob, lighting reflects the essence of the furniture. Easy to live with, innovative, stylish, and colourful, our lighting brings indoor and outdoor spaces to life and offers a unique user experience.

How to choose your lighting effectively?

IP RATING: it defines the indoor or outdoor use of your lighting.

IP ratings lower than 44 are reserved for indoor use.

IP ratings lower than 54 are reserved for indoor use and can be found in damp environments (for example, bathrooms).

IK RATING: it defines the resistance to impacts and shocks of your lighting.

LUMEN: The lumen or luminous flux corresponds to the amount and intensity of light visible to the human eye.

At Fermob, the choice of lumens depends on the use of the lighting. For ambient lighting, prefer fixtures with low lumens (20lm & 70lm), while for lighting a dining area, opt for higher lumens (150lm & 500lm). Our lighting ranges from 20lm to 1050lm.

Find these ratings and lumens on the product sheet of your lighting fixture.

Colour temperature

Kelvin measures the colour temperature of light. It indicates whether white light is warm or cool. It varies depending on the source. The higher the value, the more it leans towards blue (cool light); the lower the value, the more it leans towards red (warm light).

CREATE THE RIGHT AMBIANCE BY PLAYING WITH LIGHT TEMPERATURE

With this feature, you can adjust the light to suit your activity! Warm white lighting creates a comfortable, pleasant atmosphere conducive to relaxation. Neutral white evokes a tempered and energising atmosphere, while cool white resembles daylight with a slightly blue light, which is more stimulating and will aid your concentration!
