Fermob may be a standard-bearer for the French art de vivre, but it is the art of high-quality manufacturing that has been the driving force of our workshops for more than 35 years. We inherited our expertise in metal from the former blacksmiths’ workshops that now form our production workshops established on the same site in the heart of the Beaujolais region. The heat and sounds of hammer on metal continue to permeate our production lines, forging our emblematic swirls and scrolls. Our processes structure and perpetuate traditional craftsmanship, while machines help to speed things up. The perfect balance! It is this French manufacturing know-how, passed down over time, that we strive to preserve as our genetic heritage for future generations of Fermob furniture. Taking pride of place in our factory is the zero-waste and zero-particle-emitting paint line, on which a hypnotic ballet of dancing furniture receives its signature splash of colour.
