This 9-acre plot of land, clinging to the side of Lyon’s Fourvière hill, has been home to 92 separate allotments since 1920. It’s here that Jean-Paul (a huge fan of French actor and comedian Coluche) has been tending to his plot of land for 20 years, surrounded by his equally green-fingered friends. After a hard session’s hoeing and watering their plants, they stop for a drink and a snack before taking a nap under the awning of their little huts… then start the whole process again the next day.
